From refusing anal to fisting

As someone who refused to do anal most of my life to being trained for fisting within a year, my cleaning process may have some extra steps that most people wouldn’t need.
There are both mental and physical reasons that I go through these steps in this particular way. Learning to listen to my body and work with it was essential to my anal training.
I didn’t have a lot of experience with things going in my ass or deriving pleasure from it. My personal cleaning process gives me more time to get in tune with my body and be in control of what’s going on.
One of my inhibitions with anal play was always the concern for mess. I have never had regular movements my whole life, so this took some figuring out and getting used to. My paranoia grew with more anal play. But luckily, I eventually found a series of steps that eases my mind. Which ultimately makes everything work so much better.
My cleaning process serves as a check in with myself. It gives me time to get in the mental state and make sure I am feeling up to it. If things are going smoothly in my cleaning process, then they definitely will not get better by play time. So I am clear about my mental and physical state before being expected to play. This relieves any disappointment for everyone.
I am not suggesting that anyone has to copy my steps in order to be comfortable. My goal in sharing them is a lot towards the new or curious people, that despite my hang ups, I did find a system that works for me. Feel free to take any pieces that work for you and leave the rest.
